What is the study about?

SnapAppy is a smartphone-based positive psychology intervention to provide the opportunity to improve your mental well-being by taking photos of positive events during your day.

What do I have to do?

You will be required to log positive events in your life with a photo and a written description describing your positive emotions using a smartphone application called SnapAppy.

You will need to report at least one positive event per day for a month, but we would encourage you to log more if you like. You will also log your daily mood within the app. Location traces will also be collected in the background to observe the effect that location has on your psychological state.

Additionally you will need to complete two surveys every 10 days during the study which will take two minutes to complete.

What are the prerequisites to participate?
